T.J. READ | CAMP DIRECTOR
T.J. Read enters his second season as the director of operations with UCF, after he was hired in July of 2018.
Read joined the Knights after one season with the N.C. State volleyball team. The Wolfpack went 21-12 and reached the Second Round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament during his lone season in Raleigh, N.C.
He joined N.C. State after two seasons as volunteer assistant coach at Ohio State with the men’s volleyball program. He helped lead the Buckeyes to its second National Championship during the 2016 season.
While in Columbus, Read also worked with the girls and boys teams at the Elite Volleyball Training Center as head coach and program director. The Fresno, Calif., native was an Academic All-Big Ten Selection and Academic All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) honoree as a student-athlete at Ohio State.
Read also served in the United States Air Force prior to attending Ohio State to play collegiate volleyball and earn his degree in physical education. His father Tom played for the U.S. National Team from 1973-76.
He and his wife Paige live in Orlando with their chocolate lab, Bailey.
